  • The problem with that question is the implication that we will spend any amount of money to save one life. That's simply not true. Maybe the smarter question is a consideration of our available funding, and how to best deploy that money so as to make our railroads as safe as possible.

  • We know how eight of the supremes will vote on everything. So, let's dispense with the nonsense and just ask Justice Kennedy how he feels about an issue. The rest don't matter. Anyone who says that the supremes aren't swayed by partisan politics hasn't been paying attention.

That WAS accidental, not that he or I would mind the allusion.

  • LOL. Right on. They should get out more. I just hope not to Big Bend because it is my second favorite national park (I've been to 43 of the real McCoys) because of the extreme solitude.

  • If they were to try to write something intelligent about President Obama vis-a-vis protection of our country, it would have to be about his successes in combating terrorism or deporting more illegal immigrants than any other president. Which wouldn't be very effective at making their case.
